Online recommendations, reviews and lists are, it seems, becoming more and more important as a key aspect of converting awareness and interest into the sales that make the tills ring... this is one of the noteworthy findings from the State of Media Democracy survey from Deloitte.
More than half of us are learning of new products and services via the internet and, it's the Recommendation and Review sections that we consumers are increasingly checking out to give us a more clued-up view on what to buy or not. The survey found that 49 percent of consumers have purchased a product based on an online recommendation, with 26 - 42 year olds the group most likely to have done this.
