In a shameless bid to grab more of everyone’s money, we held
a fundraising morning which included the soft option of cakes, coffee and a
raffle, followed by a sporting challenge to match the efforts of the Three
Peaks Challenge itself – well, nearly! One minute on a rowing machine was
deemed to be enough for most, and for those less inclined, they could bet on
the result...
A three way tie (amazingly – obviously one per peak!)
between three titans of the business led to a row off where the two main
contenders caved in to let the guy who writes the cheques win! A mini bottle of
champagne and an oxygen tent awaited the lucky champ.
More importantly the coveted space hopper raffle prize was
claimed by Nicole in Site support and there may well be further races to
follow....
It was a worthwhile and entertaining way to spend an hour at
the end of a busy week, and we’re really glad we could help the charity and our
illustrious Three Peakers. We raised over a hundred quid in a short time to
give the fund a decent boost.
